“This Time It’s Going To Work Out Pt.3” | Mt. Pleasant MBC Worship Service

Jun 8, 2025    Pastor James Minnick

On this Pentecost Sunday, we're reminded of the transformative power of the Holy Spirit. The message centers on Acts 2:1-4, recounting the day when the disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit. This isn't just a historical event - it's a promise for us today. The fire that fell then can fall on us now, empowering us to live boldly for Christ. We're challenged to move from 'basement level faith' to 'upper room power', aligning ourselves with God's will and expecting His presence. The sermon emphasizes that this divine fire doesn't just touch us; it transforms us, giving us a new language to testify about God's mighty works. As we reflect on this, let's ask ourselves: Are we positioned to receive God's fire? Are we waiting with expectation, or have we become complacent? This Pentecost, may we open our hearts anew to the Holy Spirit's empowering presence.

Blessings,

Pastor Minnick
