WEEKLY MEMORY VERSE
MONDAY MOMENT MESSAGE
Rev. Dr. Kimberly Whitsett, Pastor-Elect
MONDAY
SCRIPTURE: Matthew 5:16
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
Jesus tells us to let our light shine before others. Our actions can point people to God. Every act of kindness, every encouraging word, and every loving choice allows God's light to shine through us.
CHALLENGE:
Look for one opportunity today to encourage someone.
QUICK PRAYER:
Lord, help me shine Your light today so others can see Your love through me. Amen.

TUESDAY
SCRIPTURE: Colossians 3:12
“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.”
DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
Paul tells believers to "clothe" themselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Just like we choose our clothes each morning, we can choose to put on Christ-like attitudes every day.
CHALLENGE:
Choose one of these qualities and practice it intentionally throughout the day.
QUICK PRAYER:
Jesus, help me put on kindness and compassion in everything I do. Amen.

WEDNESDAY
SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 4:32
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."
DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
Kindness and forgiveness help us reflect God's heart. When we forgive others and show grace, we demonstrate the same love God has shown us.
CHALLENGE:
Forgive someone who may have hurt your feelings or show kindness to someone who needs encouragement.
QUICK PRAYER:
Father, help me show grace and forgiveness just as You have shown them to me. Amen.

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
Whether we are at home, school, church, or with friends, we should do everything for God's glory. Every action is an opportunity to honor Jesus.

FRIDAY
SCRIPTURE: Philippians 2:14–15 (NIV)
"Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, 'children of God without fault... Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky."
DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT
The night sky is full of stars, and even one star can stand out in the darkness. God wants His children to shine the same way. We don't shine by being the loudest or the most popular—we shine by choosing joy, showing kindness, obeying God, and treating others with respect. Every time you choose God's way instead of the world's way, your faith becomes visible to the people around you.
CHALLENGE
Today, challenge yourself to go the entire day without complaining. Instead, replace every complaint with a word of gratitude or encouragement.
QUICK PRAYER
Dear God, help me shine brightly for You today. Fill my heart with joy and my words with kindness so others can see Jesus through my life. Amen.

SATURDAY
SCRIPTURE: John 15:5, 8
"I am the vine; you are the branches... if you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit... This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples."
DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT
Fruit doesn't appear overnight. It grows because the branch stays connected to the tree. Jesus says the same is true for us. When we stay connected to Him through prayer, reading His Word, and obeying Him, our lives begin to produce good fruit—love, kindness, patience, generosity, and faithfulness. That fruit is evidence that we belong to Jesus. People may never read a Bible, but they can read the way you live.
As Summer in Bloom comes to an end, remember that blooming isn't the finish line—it's the beginning. Keep staying connected to Jesus, and He will continue growing beautiful fruit in your life.
CHALLENGE
Think of one way you can stay connected to Jesus this week after Summer in Bloom ends. Maybe it's reading one Bible verse each day, praying before school, or helping someone without being asked. Make a plan and stick with it.
QUICK PRAYER
Jesus, thank You for helping me grow throughout this journey. Keep me connected to You so my life will produce fruit that honors You. Help others see Your love through everything I say and do. Amen. 🌼
