“Here Comes The King” | Mt. Pleasant MBC Worship Service

Apr 13, 2025    Pastor James Minnick

Today, we're reminded of the powerful message of Palm Sunday and the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. The scripture from Matthew 21:6-11 paints a vivid picture of this momentous event. As we reflect on this, we're challenged to consider: Are we ready for the King's arrival in our own lives? The sermon emphasizes three key points: obedience opens the way, praise belongs in the streets, and when the King comes, things move. Just as the disciples obeyed Jesus' instructions, opening the way for His entry, we too must be obedient to God's calling in our lives. This obedience isn't just for our benefit, but it can prepare the way for others to encounter Christ. The message urges us to praise God openly and boldly, not just in church, but in our daily lives. When Jesus enters a situation, it causes a spiritual earthquake - transforming hearts, healing brokenness, and bringing hope. As we approach Easter, let's examine our own readiness to welcome the King, considering how our obedience and praise can impact those around us.
