"Transferring The Vision!" - Part 1 "Keep Going!"
In John 17:6-7, we encounter Jesus in one of the most intimate moments recorded in Scripture—his high priestly prayer. This isn't a public sermon but a private conversation between Jesus and the Father, spoken on our behalf before his arrest and crucifixion. What makes this passage so powerful is the realization that Jesus, in his most critical hour, chose to focus not on his own suffering but on praying for us. He declared to the Father, 'I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world.' This reveals a profound truth: we belong to God first, and everything we have comes from Him. The central theme here is legacy and spiritual inheritance. Just as Jesus passed down the knowledge of the Father to his disciples, we are called to pass down our faith to the next generation. The sermon challenges us to recognize our worth—not based on worldly measures like bank accounts or zip codes, but on the truth that we are children of the King. When we declare 'I am rich,' we're not speaking of material wealth but of the peace, provision, and purpose that come from knowing God. This message calls us to stop focusing on what we've lost and start focusing on what God is able to do. It's about teaching our children, grandchildren, and those around us that they too are rich by association with the Father. We must speak life into those around us, declaring that what God has for us is indeed for us, and that legacy is built generation after generation by keeping the faith going.
