"God Remembers"

Nov 16, 2025    Dr. Jacqueline Nelson, Pastor

In times of transition and uncertainty, we often wonder if our contributions matter, if our faithfulness has been noticed, or if the sacrifices we've made have any lasting impact. This powerful message from Hebrews 6 reminds us of a profound truth: God remembers. He remembers the people—every person who has united with a faith community, every individual who has served, and every soul who has been transformed by His grace. He remembers the plan—the divine blueprint that was set in motion long before we arrived, with intentions to give us hope and a future. And He remembers the pastor—the faithful shepherd who has planted seeds, taught the Word, and loved God's people with unwavering dedication. As we navigate seasons of change, we're challenged not to romanticize the familiar or retreat to what we once knew simply because it feels safe. Instead, we're called to trust that the seeds planted in our lives are about to sprout in ways we cannot yet imagine. The gifts we've been nurturing, the lessons we've been learning, and the faith we've been building—all of it has been preparation for this very moment. God has not forgotten us; He's been preparing us for the next leg of the journey, where our faith will be tested and our gifts will be revealed for the benefit of others who are still hungry, still sick, still waiting for someone to demonstrate the love of Christ.
