"He's Been Good ALREADY"

Jul 5, 2026    Pastor James Minnick

This powerful message centers on a declaration that transforms our perspective: God has already been good. Drawing from Psalm 107:1 and Lamentations 3:22-23, we're reminded that God's mercies are new every morning and His compassions never fail. The beauty of this truth is that we don't have to wait for the next blessing, the next healing, or the next answered prayer to recognize God's goodness—it's already evident in our lives. We've been kept through dangers we didn't even see, protected from accidents we avoided, and sustained through storms that could have destroyed us. The message challenges us to become living witnesses, reflecting on what God has already brought us through rather than constantly waiting for what's next. When we recognize that we're reaping the harvest of prayers prayed by those who came before us—grandmothers, mothers, spiritual fathers—we understand that God's faithfulness spans generations. Even in devastation, like Jeremiah experienced in Lamentations, we can still declare God's goodness because His compassions never run empty. Unlike a gas tank that depletes, God's mercy remains perpetually full, allowing us to live life more abundantly, sipping from saucers of overflow. This isn't denial of our struggles; it's recognition that even in hard times, God has not allowed us to be consumed.
