All Things Common
This powerful message takes us deep into Acts 2:44-45, where we discover what it truly means to be a unified, power-packed church. The early believers weren't just attending services together—they had 'all things common,' selling their possessions to ensure no one among them had any need. This wasn't mere charity; it was Holy Spirit-led transformation that turned scattered, fearful disciples into a unified body of Christ. We're challenged to examine what unity really looks like in our modern context: it's food pantries and community markets, yes, but it's also truly seeing one another—rejoicing when others rejoice, weeping when they weep, bearing each other's burdens without being asked. The sermon reminds us that unity isn't natural; it's supernatural. It requires Holy Spirit to work in our hearts so that another person's need becomes our concern, their joy becomes our celebration. We're called to move beyond casual church attendance into genuine covenant community where everything we need is already in the house—the skills, resources, encouragement, and support all present among us. The question echoes from Acts 2:37: 'What shall we do?' The answer remains the same: repent, be baptized, receive the Holy Spirit, and then watch as God transforms individual believers into a powerful, unified force for His kingdom.
