"Christ; The Head of the Church"
What does it truly mean to belong to a church? Most of us would answer with a building, a denomination, or a pastor's name. But this message challenges us to go deeper, asking a far more penetrating question: who do we really belong to? Drawing from Colossians 1:18, where Paul declares that Christ is the head of the body, the church, and that in everything he might have supremacy, we are invited to reconsider the very foundation of our faith identity. The church is not a structure of brick and mortar. It is us, the called-out ones, the body of Christ, the Ecclesia. And if Christ is the head, then every decision we make, every gift we offer, and every relationship we build within the community of faith must flow from our connection to him. Just as a body cannot function without its head, we cannot function, grow, or thrive without remaining vitally connected to Christ. This is not merely a theological idea. It is a daily, living reality that calls us to open the word, engage in prayer, and lean on one another as members of one body. Every gift matters. Every person matters. And together, under the lordship of Christ, we are equipped for everything he has called us to do.
