“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” Phil. 1:6 kjv

Rev. Kim is in full swing of her divine purpose and spiritual calling in the Kingdom. Defying all of the odds, Rev. Kim is a proud graduate of the Detroit Public School system, with an Associate Degree in Clerical Processing, a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, a Master’s in Strategic Management, and a Doctor of Ministry  at Ecumenical Theological Seminary.

She continues to carry the legacy of her late friend and husband, Pastor Christopher J. Whitsett of 29 years. Together they labored in the leadership of The Truth Church under the spiritual covering of Dr. James J. Minnick and the Mt. Pleasant MBC family.  Having bore no children, together they shared the love of 25 GOD-children to date.

During the day, Rev. Kim is gainfully employed as Administrative Assistant at Bethel Baptist Church, East, all while cultivating the business skills and creativity she possesses as Entrepreneur/Proprietor of Kim’s Quality Printing & More, a desktop publishing home-based company, specializing in all forms of printed matter.

Being licensed and ordained, her ministry matters include a strict servitude for the people of God. She has a heart for the ministries of Sunday School, Mission Outreach, Seniors, Sick & Shut-in, Music Ministry, Grief Ministry, Biblical Counseling, Media Ministry, etc.

Rev. Kim is not slack of gifts, talents, skills, favor, anointing, calling, nor void of opportunities for which to use them.  In addition to Marketplace Ministry, she has countless musical and theatrical accomplishments to her credit.  She has recorded her demo EP Project entitled “His Love,” and later a Compilation CD entitled “The Magnitude of The Moment.”  She has been a featured soloist on the albums of Carl B. Phillip & Friends, Michael Fletcher & The Michael Fletcher Chorale, Denard McClary & The MDA Choir and the late Pastor Oscar Hayes & The Tri-Church Fellowship Choir. Theatrically, she wrote, produced and directed five shows of “The Chronicles of the Cross,” and the stage play “Recover All.” She has played a major role in the televised and blue-ray edition of Vanessa Lynn’s “Boss Lady” and Anita Calloway’s Broadway Stage-Play, “Wish I Had Been Ready,” to include soloing on both Production CD projects; along with so much more too numerous to name, to which she says to God be the glory!

While all of the accolades and accomplishments are good, Rev. Kim remembers that only what she does for Christ will last, holding fast to the principle of seeking first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, knowing that all other things shall be added unto her. (Matt.6:33)
